Max Kühner and Elektric Blue P unbeatable in CSI5* Grand Prix Dinard

The highlight of a busy international weekend has just been ridden in Dinard: the Grand Prix of the CSI5* competition. Despite the tough basic course, fifteen combinations managed to jump a clear basic round. So a denouement with 15 had to decide the winner. With top riders such as Max Kühner, Martin Fuchs, Nicola Philippaerts and Steve Guerdat in the jump-off, one thing was already written in the stars: it would be an extremely fast jump-off!

And... it was! In the end, Max Kühner rode to victory in the saddle of Elektric Blue P (by Eldorado vd Zeshoek) by jumping a clear jump-off in 41.73 seconds. A time that proved difficult for the other riders to match. Shane Sweetnam came closest with Jams Kann Cruz (by Kannan). This combination was able to keep the zero and finished in 43.22 seconds. Martin Fuchs and Leone Jei (by Baltic VDL) took the third step of the podium. The combination was able to keep the zero and stopped the chrono after 43.41 seconds.

The rest of the top five was completely Belgian: Gregory Wathelet rode Bond Jamesbond de Hay (by Diamant de Hay) to fourth place by jumping a clear round in 43.79 seconds. Nicola Philippaerts, who celebrates his 30th birthday today, followed in fifth place with Katanga vh Dingesgof (by Cardento 933). They left the wood untouched and finished in 43.94 seconds.
