Max Thirouin shines in Lissabon's Grand Prix

The CSIO3* Grand Prix of Lissabon was competed in two rounds. a total of twelve combinations took the start in the second round, in which only four took the start with a zero score. In the end only France's Max Thirouin and Utopie Villelongue (Mylord Carthago) produced a double clear.

Belgium's Gilles Thomas was one of the first to take the start in the second round. Together with the 12-year-old Calleryama (Casall) he managed to set a clear finish in 41.94 seconds, dominating the class. 

As second but last at the start, Max Thirouin was the only to make a clear finish with the 14-year-old Utopie Villelongue (Mylord Carthago). The French combination was almost three seconds slower as Gilles Thomas but took the lead. The third spot on stage was for Olivier Perreau aboard the GL Events Dorai d'Aiguilly (Kannan).

The pair was followed by Cedric Hurel with the 12-year-old Fantasio Floreval Z (Florian de la Vie). Belgium's Ludo Philippaerts completed the top five aboard Jan Vermeiren's approved 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood stallion, Mr. Idol S.
