Oliva: Nicola Philippaerts claims victory in 1.50m Grand Prix

In Oliva the 1.50m Grand Prix took place today. This Longines Ranking class did not turn out to be the easiest. Out of the 60 participants only five managed to qualify for the jump-off. One of them was Nicola Philippaerts who went home with the victory! In the saddle of Gijs (by Kashmir Van Schuttershof) he could ride a very fast and clear jump-off.

With a time of 40.49 seconds Nicola Philippaerts was about five seconds faster than his competitor Michel Robert who had to settle for a second place. He and Bingo Del Tondou (by Vigo D Arsouilles Stx) had a clear round in a time of 45.45 seconds. American rider Rebecca Conway and Con Coleur (by Contendro I) completed the stage with a third place. With one fault in the jump-off and a time of 42.04 seconds, she took home the bronze ribbon.

On the fourth place we see Mike Kawai and Saxo de La Cour (by Tlaloc M) for Japan. The top five was completed by Niklaus Schurtenberger and Quincassi (by Quintero).
