Today the Royal Horse Show in Dublin Kicked-off with an Irish fest as Paul O'Shea jumped to victory in the 1.60m opening class aboard his 11-year-old Imerald van 't Voorhof (Emerald).
Bred by Belgium's Frans Voeten, Imerald took an advantage of over 3 seconds leaving Darragh Kenny with his 10-year-old Romeo 88 (Contact vd Heffinck) behind. Susan Fitzpatrick completed the Irish stage in the saddle of her 9-year-old KWPN-hhorse, Fellow Castlefield (Je T'Aime Flamenco).
The top five was completed by Ireland's Shane Sweetnam with Kirschwasser Scf (Amaretto d'Arco) in fourth and Richard Howley jumping in fifth aboard Chinook (Tygo).
