Afer a Jump-Off with 13 combinations, four pairs produced a clear finish. Eventually it was home rider, Pierre Marie Friant who conquered the 1.50m class aboard Urdy d'Astree (Bouffonn du Muerier*Janssen). The pair was followed by Ann Carton-Grootjans with over three seconds difference.
The Belgian show jumping lady placed as runner-up in the saddle of her own Kai Licha de Carmel (Prince vd Wolfsakker). Italy's Paolo Paini completed the stage with Paul Van den Bosch' Konstop (Fierro Hof Ter Zeedycke). Also Emiliano Liberati made a clear finish, placing fourth with Davarusa (Zavall VDL).
