Pius Schwizer and Daniel Deusser deliver Shanghai Swans GCL win in Shanghai!

The atmosphere in the Shanghai Juss International Equestrian Centre was electric this afternoon as the home crowd in Shanghai saw their local team, the Shanghai Swans, take the lead in Round 1 and finished with ultimate victory in round 2!

The Shanghai Swans were the only to set a double clear round. In the first round Pius Schwizer and Chill MA (Crunch), as well as Daniel Deusser aboard Otello de Guldenboom (Tobago Z) set a clear round. The German rider expertly navigated the course, delivering another spotless round for the team in a turn of events from the start of the season.

In the second round Schwizer and Vancouver de Lanlore (Toulon) and Deusser with Gangster v/h Noddevelt (Eldorado vd Zeshoek) kept it clear again. This delivered the Shanghai Swans the eventual GCL win!

Istanbul Warriors followed on stage. Andreas Schou set a clear round aboard the 10-year-old Lady Corlina (Casiro). The Danish jumper switched to Napoli vh Nederassenthof (President) setting yet again a clear round in the second round. Aboard Kalinka van de NActhegaele (Epleaser van 't Heike), Sweden's Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli delivered the team a total of 12 points.

Jérôme Guery and Julien Anquetin delivered a third spot for Doha Falcons. Earlier Anquetin already won the 1.45m Speed class aboard Farah Tame. In a reaction the French jumper said: "It's unbelievable. Never seen anything impressive as the stage here in Shanghai!"
