Zoe Conter: "I'm spending more quality time with my horses now"

Zoe Conter, daughter of Stephex Stables owner Stephan Conter, has just returned from America. Normally she would have stayed in Wellington until the end of April but Corona changed those plans. The Belgian federation talked with this young lady rider about how this pandemic is changing her life.

"I've been home since yesterday. Normally I would have stayed in the States until the end of April, but unfortunately I had to return home early because of Corona. The last two weeks of the circuit were cancelled but the horses kept their flights. They left the States yesterday and my dad, my sister and I will be waiting for them when they arrive home. Right now I'm still riding my other horses in the morning. After that my planning looks slightly different: we try to stay home as much as possible and we fill our afternoon with school work and playing games. We try to avoid contact with other people as much as possible".

"I try to stay as positive as possible under the given circumstances. I'm working more on the details with my horses now and I'm glad I was reunited with my mom earlier than I expected since I hadn't seen her in three months. In general I try to bond more with my horses now. We have more time at this moment now so I really try to use it to spend some quality time with my horses".
