2016 Winter Equestrian Festival kicks off today

The 2016 Winter Equestrian Festival kicks off this week, with the first week of competition running from the 13-17th of January. The 2016 WEF has 12 weeks of competition at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center that conclude on April 3, and awards more than $9 million in prize money through the circuit. The second week (20-24th of January), sees the first international competitions taking place with CSI2* classes being hosted. The $75,000 Battle of the Sexes competition takes place this week, and it is possible to watch the men compete against the women in the first "Saturday Night Lights" event of the circuit on Saturday, January 16, at 7 p.m. The $75,000 Rosenbaum Mollengarden PLLC Grand Prix will be the first grand prix of the 2016 WEF circuit. Competition begins at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, in the International Arena at PBIEC. More info about the WEF can be found here.
