$575.000 for seven-year-old VDL Lightfeet

Already for some years the Dutch VDL Stud organizes its WEF Sporthorse Auction organiseert in Wellington. On Thursday evening it was time for the 2023 edition. In the end the highest bid was set for the 7-year-old VDL Lightfeet. His new owner payed 575.000 US Dollar for the son of Arezzo VDL.

The gelding has already jumped at an international level with Alex David Gill. Last year the pair jumped together 1.785 euro in earnings with a clear competition at 1.40m level (data Jumpr APP).

The second highest bid was recorded for the 8-year-old VDL Kristoff (VDL Arezzo).  The gelding is sold for 290.000 USD while bothVDL Monsieur (Eldorado vd Zeshoek) and VDL Magnus (Etoulon) reached 250.000 dollar.
