Since yesterday morning, 7h 49minutes (local USA East Coast time), American Olympic rider Ward McLain has become a father. Together with his wife, Lauren, Ward has become the proud parent of Lilly Kristine McLain. In a press release Ward stated that the birth of his daughter is the happiest moment of the last couples of years. But did you also know that Ward McLain used to ride Oh d'Eole? A fun fact about this proud new dad. It is in fact the American show jumper that startet the horse on an international level, bringing it to the top level at the international competition in Calgary, Canada, 2011. Today the 13-years-old mare is currently out of the sport because of a small injury.
