Bertram Allen and Edison de Hus on top in 1.45m Opening of WEF 9

Week nine of the Winter Equestrian Festival has kicked-off with a 1.45m Longines Ranking class. In it, it was a close call for Ireland's Bertram Allen speeding to victory aboard his, Edison de Hus.

Last summer Bertram Allen took over the reins of the son of HH Conrad from Belgium's Damien Haelterman, organizer of the Chosen.auction. Together with the nine year old SF-gelding Allen was only 0.1 seconds faster as Cathleen Driscoll and her Polish bred, Flotylla (Alvaro).

The stage was completed by Germany's Richard Vogel aboard the 11-year-old Accoton PS (A Pikachu de Muze).

The pair was followed by two Irish combinations, completing the top five. Jordan Coyle guided his Centriko Volo (Centadel) faultless to the fourth place while Darragh Kenny completed the top five aboard Vancouver Dreams (Valentino).
