Mary Hancy, an avid rider, was killed Sunday by the horse she had raised since birth. Mary Hancy is a lifelong equestrian and has competed in equestrian events for most of her life. Yesterday, Mary Hancy was grooming her horse when the horse violently lashed out at her, kicking her in the head and in the abdomen area. The air ambulance was called and she was flown to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, but the doctors could not save her life. Nancy was 55 years old.
