US Equestrian Federation adds Pineland Farms to Elite Training Center Designation Program

The US Equestrian Federation (USEF) is pleased to announce that Pineland Farms (New Gloucester, Maine) has been accepted into the USEF Elite Training Center Designation Program. Pineland Farms, owned by the October Corporation, operates The Equestrian Center out of its 5,000-acre facility run by Gwyneth McPherson, director and lead trainer, and 1992 U.S. Olympic team bronze medalist Michael Poulin, who serves as The Equestrian Center’s head coach. The USEF Elite Training Center Designation Program is open to venue owners who have hosted at least one USEF-sanctioned team, developing rider, or horse training session within the last year in any disciplines for which the USEF runs programs that develop and prepare teams for international competition. “Pineland Farms is an outstanding facility, and we are proud to welcome them to the Elite Training Center Designation Program. We are grateful for Pineland Farms, and our entire group of Elite Training Center facilities, for the contribution they make to the development and success of U.S. equestrian athletes and teams. It’s these venues, which are maintained at the highest standard, that help prepare our athletes for elite competition at the international level,” said Will Connell, USEF Director of Sport.
