Fifty-eight pairs started in the main event this Friday at the Jumping International de Mâcon Chaintré. On the 1.50m obstacles, nine managed to complete a perfect round in the first phase, earning their ticket to the jump-off. Ultimately, three of them completed this phase without knocking down a single rail.
The fastest was the French rider Alexis Goulet (41''03) with Calla, securing victory ahead of the Polish rider Maksymilian Wechta (42''12) and the Spanish rider Imma Roquet Autonell (42''72). Although Lalie Saclier and J'Adore managed to lower the time to 40''12, the rider, partner of Equita Lyon, had to settle for fourth place due to a four-point penalty on the penultimate jump. On fifth was Rene Lopez Lizarazo (COL) aboard Londina (Glock's London).
Goulet: "I am very happy with Calla, who had not competed since the French Championships in Fontainebleau. Yesterday, in the small event, she was a bit fresh, but today she jumped incredibly! I think she just delivered one of the best rounds since we have been together. In the jump-off, she was as fast as usual. I didn't want to start too fast, but she really loves these jump-offs with large turns. Mâcon is a very pleasant competition with excellent facilities and a warm welcome, so I am even happier to win here! Calla and I will of course be at the start of the Grand Prix on Sunday!"
