The Irish rider Cameron Hanley takes home the CSI5* Grand Prix of Wiesbaden. Aboard his 10-year-old Animo II-horse Antello Z Hanley puts down the fastest time of the 12 starters in the Jump-Off. Rolf-Göran Bengtsson was the first one to enter with his Quintero ASK (s. Quantum). Just as Jeroen Dubbeldam (Quality Time TN, s. Quantum), Bengtsson finished with one time penalty. the German rider Hans-Dieter Dreher and the 12-year-old Escudo-son Embassy II ended second after a clear round in 51:08 seconds. Katharina Offel and Charlie (s. Cornet Obolensky) concluded their Wiesbaden-adventure with a third place.
The top five was completed by the Dutch rider Maikel Van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Verdi (s. Quidam de Revel). The pair finished in 52:30 seconds. bruce Springsteen's daughter, Jessica, rode the fastest time with her 50:62 seconds. However on the back of Vindicat W (s. Guidam) she jumped one fence down.
