In Doha, the second week of the Doha Tour 2024 was kicked off on Thursday with a variety of classes. The day was closed with the CSI4* 1.50m Longines Ranking Class, which came into the name of Evelina Tovek and Moeboetoe V/D Roshoeve, who led a podium full of Belgium bred horses.
The victory went to Evelina Tovek (SWE). The Swedish rider had the 12-year-old Moeboetoe V/D Roshoeve (Der Senaat 111) under the saddle, a breeding product of the Roshoeve. In second place, we saw Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) with Fiumicino van de Kalevallei. This sBs gelding by Plot Blue (breeder: Geert De Sloover) was formerly Jur Vrieling's Grand Prix horse and became Alsharbatly's new acquisition at the end of last year. Simon Delestre rounded out the top three with the 10-year-old Olga van de Kruishoeve, a BWP mare by El Torreo de Muze from the stables of Eric Polfliet.
In fourth place was Jennifer Hochstadter (LIE) with Golden Lady, a KWPN mare by Cassini Gold. Nadja Peter Steiner (SUI) rounded of the top five aboard of Esport Blanc Cristal (Vigo Cece). In eighth place was Hugo Stevens' breeding product, Equitron Melody vd Smidshoeve (Epleaser van 't Heike), ridden by Gerfried Puck. The Austrian had previously earned a top-five placement with the BWP horse Equitron Naxcel V (Balou du Rouet, breeder: Leo Vermeiren).
