The rain made the organisation of the Sunshine Tour cancel most of Saturday's classes but all was well again on Sunday. In the CSI4* 1.50m Medium Tour Grand Prix, local rider Ismael Garcia Roque conquered first place aboard of Brazilia Dk Z.
A field of over fifty combinations resulted in an eight-way tiebreaker. Yves Vanderhasselt (BEL) skillfully guided the 12-year-old BWP stallion by Emerald over the obstacles twice, finishing the final phase in 40.21 seconds. However, this time was just not fast enough to keep Ismael Garcia Roque (ESP) from clinching the win. The Spaniard triumphed aboard Brazilia Dk Z (By Ceira d'Ick) with a time of 39.22 seconds. Jessica Burke (IRL) was close behind, piloting African Affair (Billy Congo) to the finish line in 40.52 seconds, securing third place.
Laura Hetzel (GER) cleared the course faultlessly with Angel d'or (Askari) in 41.35 seconds, earning fourth place, while Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and Cognac Eb (Casall) finished fifth with a time of 42.12 seconds.
