Italians triumph in Arezzo

Graziano TazziThe first day of the first edition of this years Arezzo- 'Tour' was completely filled with classes for Young Horses. As well as with the six-year-olds as the seven-years-old Italy triumphed with a first place. In a class ridden in two phases Emilio Bicocchi was victorious on the back of his six-year-old Lasita. Both finished a clear Jump-off in a time of 28:18 seconds, 0:10 seconds faster as Roland Englbrecht and Lena. The Australian Evie Buller (Chiquita) finished on a third place after a clear round in 29:82 seconds. More than 10 horses crossed the finish without touching the poles. Norwegian Ole Meland Kristoffersen (Carsall) and the Dutch Kirsten Rikkert (Chaperon) were good for a fourth and fifth place in this class. The seven-year-old horses got to ride a course of the German course designer Frank Rothenberger. With a total pricemoney of €1500, 46 horses started in this class. Again it was Italy that was victorious. This time thanks to Graziano Tazzi and Griselda. A clear round in 55:73 seconds gave an advantage of more than 4 seconds on the Austrian rider Roland Englbrecht (Loki Doki), who again had to be pleased with the second place. Italian Gianluca Appoloni (Baby Arko) finished in the third place. Just not fast enough for the stage was Dutch rider Wesley Heijdens and his horse Beemdgraaf. Today it are again the Young Horses that get to show what they're worth in the arena of Arezzo. source: equnews.com
