The first competition of this weeks CSI5* in Doha has finished with a victorious Khalid Al Emadi. On the back of Michael Jackson (s. Feliciano), Khalid Al Emadi set down the fastest time in the arena of the prestigious Al Shaqab Equestrian Centre in Doha. Reaching the finish in a time of 26:24 seconds Al Emadi got the lead on Abdulrahman Al Saaq Al Marri and his Z-gelding Siec Cosmos Wijngaardhoeve Z (s. Chellano Z), who ended second. The third place was for Alia Humaid Bin Drai and the 12-year-old BWP-horse Bonheur 51.
From the 28 starters, 12 pairs fot through to the Jump-Off of this 1m30 competition. In total nine crossed the finish line with a double clear round. The only European rider amongst them is the French showjumper David Frederic and the 10-year-old BWP-horse Domina van't Merelsnest. The 12-year old BWP-horse Kannada (s. Kannan) in ownership of the Luxembourgish Julie Thiry ended 12th with the rider of Qatar, Rashid Towaim Al Marri.
