In Abu Dhabi, the CSI4*-W Gold Tour over the height of 1.40m came to a thrilling end in this class ridden against the clock. Kristaps Neretnieks proved to be the strongest today and started his week with a win in this four star class. The top three places were completed by the Irish riders David Simpson and Shane Breen.
Four combinations managed to stay clear while keeping up a good pace in this class against the clock. Kristaps Neretnieks could count on his 13-year-old gelding Eisamniek (by Valentino) to leave the poles untouched and record the winning time of 58,25 seconds. In second place David Simpson followed with the eight-year-old mare Elmira Mail (by Utrillo Z). The pair crossed the finish line in 58,45 seconds. Shane Breen and his trusted Vistogrand (by Fantaland) continued the Irish top placings and came in third. They recorded a time of 62,86 seconds.
For The Netherlands, Kevin Jochems (Sweet Tricia) took home fourth place. Khaled Abdulrahman Almobty (Katinka VH Valenberghof) secured fifth place.
