At the Andalucia Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, the main class of the day came to a thrilling close. In this CSI4* Small Grand Prix the riders and horses fought for the victory over a height of 1.45m. In the jump-off it was ultimately Dutch rider Leopold van Asten who stayed firmly in first place and eventually led the lap of honor.
Leopold van Asten could count on his KWPN gelding VDL Groep Falco (by Clearway) to set the winning time of 34.11 seconds in the jump-off. With this time he was too fast for Ivan Serrano Saez. The Spanish rider rode Rain Main (by Chacco-Blue) to second place in 34.51 seconds. For Switzerland, Thibaut Keller secured third place with the 12-year-old stallion Arley de Vayrie (by Padock du Plessis*HN).
Pierre Alain (Just Do It R) claimed to fourth place. The Irish rider Jeremy Sweetnam (Brown Star Z) could count on a fifth place today.
