Roger Yves Bost flies to victory in Grand Prix Fontainebleau


50 rider-horse combinations came face to face with the 1.55m high obstacles of this four-star class, fourteen of them stayed warm for the jump-off. The French audience was treated to a home victory by none other than Roger Yves Bost. He had the 13-year-old stallion Cassius Clay Vdv (by Calvino Z) under the saddle and flew around the course in 35.24 seconds. Almost a second later followed Wilma Hellström with Quinti von Hof (by Quicklij B Z). The podium was decided by yet another French combination, Reynald Angot and Chrome d'Ivrae (by Jarnac). Nicolas Delmotte and Ilex V (by Diamant de Semilly) were fourth, while Belgium's Niels Bruynseels concluded the top five with Delux van T&L (by Toulon).
