Steve Guerdat and Venard de Cerisy beat German excellence in CSI5* 1.50m Agria Flottbek 5Star

The CSI5* 1.50m Agria Flottbek 5Star class at Hamburg, Germany was the main class of Friday's program. Only twelve riders and horses managed to stay clear and make it into the jump-off, where it was Steve Guerdat who was fastest. 

Steve Guerdat (SUI), riding the offspring Venard de Cerisy of Open Up Semilly, formed the fastest combination, clocking his jump-off at 37.60 seconds. The Swiss rider thus prevented a complete German podium. Nicola Pohl (GER), aboard Arlo de Blondel (Tlaloc M), recorded a time of 38.49 seconds, placing them second. Kendra Claricia Brinkop (GER) and the 11-year-old KWPN mare In Time (Biscayo) secured third place with a time of 38.79 seconds on the clock.

Jana Wargers (GER), riding Clash Royale (Clarimo), was slightly slower, deciding with a time of 38.98 seconds to take fourth place. The top five was rounded out by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson (SWE) and the 10-year-old Lyjanair (Lyjanero), who finished with a time of 39.17 seconds.
