The Saoudi-Arabian rider Abdullah Alsharbatly has alongside his new talent out of the stables of Pius Schwizer another great new superstar in his team. The fourteen year old stallion Big Star Jr KZ (v. Big Star) is now under the saddle of Alsharbatly, who rode him to victory straight away.
The fourteen year old stallion was bred by the Dutch Stal Klaver, owned by the family Klaver. In 2011, Big Star Jr KZ was approved as a stallion by Studbook Zangersheide. Besides that, he also meets the demands of the KWPN, who awarded him 'Horse of the Year' in 2012.
As a young horse, he was guided by Michael Greeve (NED), who had ridden him until the end of 2017. After Greeve, the reins were passed on to Michael Hughes (USA), who also saw him leave to Joseph Clayton (GBR). After a period under the saddle of the German Alina Sparwel, he joined the team of her patriot Lars Volmer.
It has been a bit quiet around the stallion but his career will get a new boost by Alsharbatly. The Saoudi-Arabian rode him to victory straight away, after only riding him for a week. The pair won a national Grand Prix together.
