Jenson van 't Meulenhof says goodbye to his sporting career

Via a press release, Niels Bruynseels announced that the 13-year-old stallion, Jenson van 't Meulenhof (Vagabond de la Pomme) can now enjoy his retirement. Together with the Belgian, the stallion jumped to the highest level in international show jumping.

Bruynseels and the son of Vagabond de la Pomme rode with the Belgian team to the silver medal in the FEI Nations Cup final in Barcelona. In addition to their track record, the duo also jumped in the top five of the CSI5* 1.50m in Knokke in 2019, and placed fourth at the CSI5* Grand Prix of London and Aachen.

“Jenson suffered an injury in Aachen last year, which unfortunately turned out to be the end of his sporting career. For me this is a big loss for the sport, because I achieved such good results with him and would have loved to travel the world with him for a long time.
