New Turkish adventure for Andreas Schou's Independent

Andreas Schou says goodbye to his eleven-year-old Swedish Warmblood Independent (Diamant De Revel), who leaves the stables of Absolute Horses to continue his further sporting career on Turkish soil

The dark bay gelding is leaving the stables of Absolute Horses after 11 years. Independent was bred by Schou's mother-in-law Lotta West in Sweden, and trained by his wife Jannike West-Schou. Afterwards, Andreas Schou took over the reins and brought him successfully to become a 5 star Grand Prix winner.

Under the saddle of the Danish show jumper, the gelding has had a fantastic season. Among others, he won the CSIO5* Grand Prix in Sopot, finished fourth in the CSI5* Longines Grand Prix in Lyon, and jumped to ninth place in the CSI5* Longines Falsterbo Grad Prix and the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup of Madrid.

Via Absolte Horses' official Instagram page, Independent was thanked as followed:

"INDI has played an important role in Andreas climbing the World Ranking list and it is with ambivalence that we now say goodbye to him. He has been within the family since birth and is fully educated by Absolute Horses. We proudly send him on his way. Thank you for the ride INDI - it’s been a true pleasure ♥️"
