Sergio Ramos, one of Real Madrid's star footballers, continues to invest in horses for Spanish rider Sergio Alvarez Moya. Earlier this year the two already invested in a promising mare Eliante Z (by Ermindo W) but now they have also purchased Alamo (by Ukato) who won the 2019 World Cup final under the saddle of Guerdat.
"It is a real honor to ride a horse like Alamo and I want to thank Sergio Ramos for giving me this opportunity," Alvarez Moya tells World of Showjumping. "In a few weeks I will be competing with him," he adds.
Alamo is now 13 years old and has had his greatest successes so far under the saddle of Guerdat. The duo also won several Grand Prix including the CSI5* Grand Prix of Helsinki. In 2020 the combination parted ways and Gerardo Pasquel Mendez and Daniel Bluman took over the reins.
