Veredus has come out with a new Magnetik -line. Based on the principle of magnotherapy the products involve the use of static magnetic fields. Subjecting certain parts of the (horse)body to magnetostatic fields produced by permanent magnets has beneficial health effects. The cells, whose fundamental task is the production of energy, have an electric voltage that feeds a coordinated activity on a level of tissues and organs. But still the effect is unproven. Although hemoglobin, the blood protein that carries oxygen, is weakly diamagnetic (when oxygenated) or paramagnetic (when deoxygenated) the magnets used in magnetic therapy are many orders of magnitude too weak to have any measurable effect on blood flow. That is why we did the test! We tested the magnetic rug on two different horses. Both put in intensive training for 1,5 weeks. Without adjusting the daily routine of the horses we should have noticed the horses being stiffer after about 1,5 weeks training. Certainly while there have been 2 show jumping trainings and one international CSI competition in between. Well, we cannot expect miracles to happen. The horses have had a rough training period, nevertheless we noticed the effects of magnetic fields. After a complete there were no infections in the muscles tissue. The only explanation can be the effect of the Magnetic rug. So yes it HELPS! No it doesn't make miracles to happen! It looks spacious and sci-fi but the breathable Magnetik rug is without a doubt a must have for the competition rider. We noticed a minor effect on the achievements of the horses. And all small positive effects count! More information about the Magnetik -line : CLICK HERE
