Carl Hester wins Freestyle and eighth National Dressage Title

Carl_hester_Uthopia_CDN_2009Last weekend Carl Hester proved to be on top. On the back of Fine Time 13 Hester won his 66th championships title collecting a 76,65% score in the Grand Prix Freestyle. This means that the British rider has become the national champion for an eighth time, equalling the record of Jennie Loriston Clarke. Having had a fantastic ride at Hickstead international in July on the stallion, Carl felt he was coming into his own and had high hopes for him at these championships. Anders Dahl was second riding his partner Fiona Bigwood’s Wie Atlantico. The stage was completed by Lara Griffith with the Bechtolsheimers’ Andretti H in this her first year of grand prix.
