Today the six best teams and eight best individual combinations competed at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The past two days the dressage riders qualified in the Grand Prix. In today's Grand Prix Special both team medals and individual medals were handed out. Germany claimed the Gold Team medal as new Olympic Team Champion. On Wednesday evening the German dressage riders took the lead. With a total of 81.295% Germany steps up from the 2012 London Olympic Silver Medal to the Gold Medal. Great-Britain didn't prolonge their titel. With a total of 79.252% the British dressage team returned home with the Silver Medal. The stage is completed by the United States of America. The Netherlands claimed the bronze medal in 2012 in London, this time they stranded just besides the stage in the fourth position. Sweden completed the top five.
