Laura Graves wins the game for the throne in first finale World Cup

The first World Cup Dressage had just ended. There were 18 riders starting in this Grand Prix. Top favourite and world number one, Isabel Werth was the penultimate to enter the ring. At that moment her American rival, Laura Graves was in the lead. On the back of her solid partner Weihegold OLD (by Don Schufro), Werth rode a clean dressage, but a little fault costs her the first place, she got a total of 78.913% what brought her the second place. So the victory was for the American Laura Graves, who got a total of 81.304% from the judges combined. From all the judges she got the highest score, so she was the anonymus winner. She rode with the 16-year old gelding Verdades, a KWPN by Florett As. Jessica von Bredow-Werndl ended on the third place. She rode with her horse Unee BB (by Gribaldi) a total of 75.669%.
