After no less than 19 years in action Rudolf Zeilinger resigned from his position as chef d'equipe of the Danish dressage team. He agreed on looking after and coaching the current Danish team until a replacement was found. With the beginning of 2017 long-time team rider Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein was announced by the Danish equestrian federation to become new chef d'equipe for the Danish dressage team. Zu Sayn-Wittgenstein has been a successful international Grand Prix rider for the last 15 years and represented Denmark in 7 European Championships, 3 World Championships and two Olympic Games. In 2008 she celebrated her biggest succes taking home Olympic team bronze medal in Hong Kong. "I am looking forward to my new function as Danish chef d'equipe. It's an exciting challenge that means a lot to me. I hope that, by closely working together with the riders, I can set up a strong team for the future that continues the great development of the past years", says zu Sayn-Wittgenstein. Together with current Danish top riders the Danish federation voted in favor of the Germany-based zu Sayn-Wittgenstein.
