Denmark's Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein's former Grand Prix hors, Rigoletto, has been euthanized. The 20-year-old horse enjoyed a well-deserved retirement since 2011. Rigoletto made his debut on the international scene in 2007, at the CDI - W Amsterdam. That year, the Danish star and her gelding took part in the Championships of Europe de La Mandria, Italy,where they were sadly eliminated in the Grand Prix Special . But the couple returned to the best form when winning the Grand Prix Special du CDI 5 * Lyon in 2008 and the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special du CDI 4 * Aachen in 2009.
