USEF to Award Three Dressage High Performance Pre-Games Training and Competition Grants

In the spring of 2014, the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) will award up to three Dressage High Performance Pre-Games Training and Competition Grants. These grants are open to athlete/horse combinations who have submitted an Application of Intent to compete in the Selection Trial for the U.S. Dressage Team Short List for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games and are planning to train and/or compete in Europe prior to the Selection Trial in preparation for the Games. Grants will be awarded based on the athlete's detailed plan for training and competition in Europe as it relates to preparation for the Selection Trial and Games, as well as the athlete's prospect of contributing to a Team and/or Individual medal at the Games. These grants will be awarded at the sole discretion of the USEF Dressage High Performance Committee. Interested athletes should apply by completing the application and submitting a detailed training and competition plan, including their expected transportation, travel, and training costs. The application and all supporting documents must be completed in full and received by the USEF Dressage Department no later than March 31, 2014; grants will be awarded after April 1, 2014.
