Mount St. John declared "not fit" for Olympics

After the selection of Dujardin on Friday with Gio for the Britisch dressageteam competing in the Olympics, we now know why she was selected with the gelding instead of her mare, Mount St. John Freestyle.

The owner of Mount St. John Freesyle, Emma Blundell, announced on her own social media that she's devasted the mare is "not maintained sufficient fitness to cope with the long travel & extreme climate required to perform to her best."

Further she says: "We are delighted that Charlotte has had a super Olympic campaign with both her horses & think Gio will be an excellent contender for the Games! "
