The FEI General Assembly 2024 took place in Abu Dhabi (UAE) and online on 13 November. A total of 80 of the 136 member nations were present in person and 17 were voting online.
During the General Assembly, the Finance director presented the revised budget for 2024 as well the budget for 2025. Remarkable is the first proposed rise of the rider registration fee is not voted for by - amongst others - Belgium, Germany, France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, etc. It is however proposed to move to 2026. "We are happy to have been able to postpone this rise of 280%," Stephan Detry says...
The financial charges for 2025 remain as is. However, postponed to 2026 the athlete registration will increase from CHF 10 to CHF 55. The registration fee of horses will increase from CHF 25 to CHF 55! "The registration fee was first introduced in 2006 and as such will have remained unchanged for the past 20 years," the FEI states!
Changes FEI General regulations approved
The General Assembly also approved the proposed changes to the FEI General Regulations, FEI Veterinary Regulations, the FEI Jumping Rules as well as the Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication Regulations!
Further Jenny Hall (GBR) was appointed FEI Vice President until 2026, replacing Canada's Marc Samuel. Samual was appointed Honorary Vice President. More information and full review to follow
