Approved sire, I am Codex passed away after colic

The Dutch show jumper, Doron Kuipers, has announced the death of the KWPN-approved stallion, I Am Codex (Codex One). The eleven-year-old stallion passed away due to severe colic.

"Last week he developed severe colic, followed by two surgeries. For a week, the team at DAP Bodegraven & Saskia Möhrke tried everything day and night to get his small intestine working again! Thank you for all your efforts, but unfortunately, it was not to be!"

Together with Kuipers, the stallion jumped up to a 1.55m level. Previously, Mathijs van Asten and Ruben Romp, among others, were also in the saddle of the son of Codex One.

"Codex, thank you for everything you've done for me with your enormous fighting spirit, fantastic attitude, and golden character! The memories will remain forever!"
