Behind the Scenes: GCT finishing touches in Shanghai

A sneak peek behind the scenes at Longines Global Champions Tour of Shanghai - the arena for our inaugural China event at the China Art Palace is looking fantastic! For the first time, world-class riders will be competing for the top equestrian accolades in mainland China with their own world-class horses. The top names competing include Ludger Beerbaum (GER), Kevin Staut (FRA), Michael Whitaker (GBR), Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS).

The feature LGCT Grand Prix, the fourth round of the prestigious official show jumping series, will have an impressive prize fund of US$1.1million, with a massive US$363,000 going to the winner. The headline Grand Prix on Saturday is not the only high-stakes class on offer - Friday and Sunday also feature a key competition, each with US$370,000 prize pots.

Watch the LGCT Shanghai Grand Prix live on GCT TV, Equidia Life and ClassHorseTV from 8.30am and on Eurosport from 11am CEST Saturday 7th June.
