The Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) in Mexico City have now come to an end. It was the first of 17 show that will count for the LGCT. This was my second time competing at the show in Mexico", states Mathilda Karlsson. "The show in Mexico City is just amazing, not just the beautiful grass arena but also the atmosphere and the crowd is unbelievable. Last year I was a part of the Moscow Bears. I'm now a team member of the Cascais Charms and that it not the only thing that I have changed for this season. I'm not a quitter, even if I had doubt about continue competing in the LGCT, because it was very hard for me starting to jump this big classes for the first time continuous, I decided to give my self a second chance to prove my self and to try to change my set up for this year to be able more consistent and more competitive in the big classes." "Last year I joined the LGCT circuit with absolutely no clue what to expect, this year im trying to be more prepared. I have been taking the time to find more horses, suitable for me and for this high level of show jumping and I have tried to create a good team around me that can help and support me even better this season. Last week in Mexico I jumped two quite new horses in the LGCT for the first time, Apollonia 23 and Cerano 19." "The same horses will also compete in the LGCT Miami next week This year I also have a new coach, that will come with me to the shows to help and support me and I have learned to value and the needs of a really good and experienced groom. Leaving Mexico behind with a much better feeling and better results than last year, I'm now looking forward to next week show in Miami. The LGCT in Miami will be located directly at the beach again. It will be a complete difference to compete in Miami compared to Mexico City. It will be a small sand arena instead of the massive grass ring in Mexico City, but that is the charm and the excitement about LGCT, that you will compete with your horses in very different locations and arenas across the whole world..."
