The biggest competition of this year’s season in showjumping – Global Champions Prague PlayOffs 2018 – knows another participant. Peder Fredricson won’t be missing in O2 arena in Prague on December 13-16. 46-year-old Swede has qualified for the Longines Global Champions Super Grand Prix thanks to his triumph in Cannes.
“I am really excited about winning, I feel fantastic,” said Peder Fredricson who triumphed with his powerful bay HanssonWL. “Hansson really charmed me.” 46-year-old Fredricson belong to experienced riders, he has two silver Olympic medals. He won the first one within team competition in 2004 Athens Olympic Games, the second in individual competition in 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. In 1992, he started in Barcelona in equestrian eventing. In Cannes he managed the Grand Prix excellently and he ensured himself start within Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix in December in Prague. “I am excited to compete in Prague. It’s going to be really good”, he added. Swedish rider joined six already qualified riders – Scott Brash (GBR), Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS), Gregory Wathelet (BEL), Beh Maher (GBR), Harrie Smolders (NED) and Carlos Lopez (COL).
