In the 1.55m Grand Prix of Gorla Minore, the Belgian Pieter Clemens secured victory with his Silvio I gelding, Emmerton
Pieter Clemens was the second Belgian to start and raced to victory. He did so in the saddle of the KWPN gelding Emmerton (Silvio I). Jos Verlooy was one of the last to start and couldn't beat Clemens' time. Verlooy rode to second place with the Vigo d'Arsouilles stallion, Origi. France completed the top three with Aurélien Leroy riding Croqsel de Blaignac (Ugano Sitte). Fourth was the Argentine José Maria Larocca with Arbil Iconthon. Abdullah Mohd Al Marri closed out the top five with BBS McGregor (Cardento).
