Danish victory in the CCI3* Le Grand Complet

Le Grand Complet has celebrated its 20th edition with the participation of the new Olympic gold and silver medalist, Astier Nicolas (FRA). The new superstar, quite known on the opposite side of the Channel, was leading the French armada in Le Pin this weekend. The "Blues" has won 4 on 5 classes...but the biggest one, the CCI3*, supported by the Normandy Region, saw the victory of Danish former Olympic rider Peter T. Flarup (photo © G2S Photographe) riding Frankie. This is the first international success for the pair, clearly aiming to the next Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. CCI3* Normandy Council Trophy: first win for Denmark in Le Pin He was coming back for the first time since the WEG 2014 and he has left really delighted, willing to come back again next year. The Danish rider Peter T. Flarup makes his mark on Le Grand Complet's history by winning the 20th edition. Based near Copenhagen (DEN), Peter travelled through Europe to dominate the CCI3* competition from the beginning to the end. 1st after dressage, clear on XC test, Peter was then in the lead with 17.5 pts ahead of his opponents. In the show jumping test on Sunday, he chose to look after curves trajectories to cross the finish line clear over fences with just 3 penalty points for overtime. That was enough to win the class with his new uprising top mount Frankie.
