Earlier today Benjamin Winter lost his life after a tragic accident at the CCI4* in Luhmühlen. After rider and horse fell at jump number 20, all was lost for Benjamin Winter's horse. The rider was transferred to the closest hospital with the helicopter. During the fall the horse landed on the rider. Eventually nothing could be done for the rider at the hospital in Hamburg. Today we lost a 25-year-old superstar. Cause of dead is a severe head injury for the rider. Meanwhile the organizers have announced their condolences to the family.
