Nicola Wilson wins the Blair Castle International Horse Trials Scottish Open Championship CIC3* title for the fourth time, this time on One Two Many leading the field from start to finish. Nicola had four rides in the CIC3* but withdrew Opposition Buzz before the start of the cross country. Watermill Vision finished in 20th place and Beltane Queen in 24thplace. She now leaves for the World Equestrian Games (WEG) where she rides Annie Clover as part of the Equestrian Team GBR and her bags are already packed as she leaves home at 8.00am on Sunday morning! Nicola commented “One Two Many is a phenomenal horse and lovely in all three phases, it is especially pleasing for my owners and I am so lucky to have such an amazing support team – my owners, husband, groom – as we all ride the highs and lows together. We had entered the CCI3* but when Annie Clover was selected for WEG we changed the entry for One Two Many – thanks to the owners permission. Lucinda Fredericks (AUS) finished second on Flying Finish. “This has given us a great run prior to Burghley in ten days’ time. He is a super genuine horse but takes time on and off the ground so I rode tighter lines. It was a super track which needed attacking – the hills were tougher than last year and you just had to be quick. I am thrilled”. Louise Harwood has had a great weekend at Blair this time finishing 3rd on Mr Potts who heads to Burghley. “He gallops but hangs to the left jumping when he gets a little tired, this is his best CIC3* result to date” said Louise. With one more competition to go the CCI2* it has been a great day at Blair Castle International Horse Trials 2014. The results are provisional so visit www.bdwp.co.uk/blr
