Oliver Townend holds on to leading position after challing Kentucky cross country

The riders of the Land Rover Kentucky 3-Day Event completed their cross country test today, the most challenging part of the schedule. After yesterdays dressage test, Britains Oliver Townend took the lead aboard Cooley Master Class with 24,1 penalties. Today, the pair completed the cross county with an additional 1,2 penalties for time. The total of 25,3 penalties lets them keep the first place. Home rider Boyd Martin climbed from third to second place with 27,9 penalties, New Zealand's Tim Price and Xavier Faer hold the third place after a flawless cross country with 30,9 penalties. Philipp Dutton and Z are in fourth place with 31,7 penalties, Piggy French and Quarrycrest Echo are in fifth place for Great Britain. Click here for the complete leaderboard.
