Our title sponsors Waitings have once again generously agreed to support the three fixture Warwick Hall Cup Series in 2017 starting in just 10 days on 20th and 21st May, with future dates on 17th – 18th June and 22nd – 23rd July. During the current dry spell we're undertaking all measures to make the footings at Warwick Hall good for competitors and yesterday the Main Arena was watered and the British Eventing aerator equipment has been made ready for the period immediately before the event. Warwick Hall Estate is lucky to enjoy sandy going across the vast majority of the park and wherever necessary the take-off and landings on the cross country courses will be given additional attention. The first event has received a tremendous entry and competitors will enjoy the secluded atmosphere and flowing show jump and cross country courses prepared by John Collier and Douglas Weymouth. The Cumbria Horse Trials Main Marquee is available for riders, owners, sponsors and the many wonderful volunteers to use at leisure and to catch up with the live scoring kindly managed by Park Communications and BDWP. Competitors achieving top placings in the BE100 Sections will receive a welcome gift from Santa Rita Wines and BE80(T) riders will go home with a gift from Horslyx for their successful horses. The Robinson Udale Cumbria Riders Challenge moves into round two; with Clare Chappelhow already looking to regain her title following a first at the recent Dalston Green event. All the leaderboards in the series may be viewed on www.cumbriahorsetrials.com/leaderboards.
