Provisional results for the CCI3* after Cross Country at Blair horse trials

Gwendolen Fer (FRA) riding Romantic Love, which is owned by her brother Gregory, has taken the lead in the CCI3* competition after the cross country phase. Gwendolen has made the long trip over from Toulouse in France to compete in this, Romantic Love’s, first 3* competition. “I was a little concerned as this is his first CCI3* competition and I was curious to see how he would react. Romantic Love managed it really well and seemed very comfortable with the hills. I was worried about fences 23/24 before the start but they rode well and I liked the course. Gwendolen has ridden at CCI4* level completing Pau, Badminton and Burghley in the last few years. It is, however, very tight at the top of the leaderboard – with Lucy Wiegersma (GBR) and Mr Chunky tight on the heels of Gwendolen in 2nd place. Flora Harris (GBR) and Amazing VIII lies in 3rd position with Louise Harwood (GBR) and Whitson in 4th. 3.3 penalty points separating the top four spots. The final horse inspection starts at 8.30am on Sunday morning with the Showjumping commencing at 10.00am in the Equi-Trek Main Arena starting with the CCI1*, CCI2*, then the CCI3*.
