“For every horse, I aim to find a tailored solution — one that feels right for everyone involved,” he explains. “The horse, the seller, the buyer, my partners, and of course myself as a professional — we all have to be aligned.”

In practice, that means two main paths: horses are either taken in for training and potential sale, or Wawrauschek acquires them directly. Many of them arrive young, and are carefully developed into athletes suited for international sport or ambitious amateurs. But he also works with more experienced horses, ready to compete at a higher national or international level.

“I want to work with properly trained horses whose journey we’ve been a part of,” says Wawrauschek, who is not only a skilled rider but also holds a degree in business. His honest and thoughtful approach to training has built trust with a wide range of clients — from Olympic champions and European medalists to U25 talents and successful amateur riders.

One key element that sets him apart is what comes after the sale. “After-sales isn’t just a nice extra — it’s a crucial part of the entire process,” he emphasizes. “I’m grateful to work with horses — and to see that taking the longer, more conscious route really pays off.”
