His sire, Andiamo Semilly, is a son of the top progenitor Diamant de Semilly. Andiamo Semilly competed at 5* level under Pénélope Leprévost. Through Happy Landais' dam, Venus Landaise (Helios de la Cour), we bring in the blood of Papillon Rouge, which remains highly sought after in French damlines.

His granddam, Narcotique Landaise (Socrate de Chivre), produced among others Dollar Landais (full brother to Happy's dam), who was already jumping 1.30m as a 6-year-old. Another brother of his dam, Amerique Landais (Helios de la Cour), competes at 1.60m level under the Polish flag, and Une Etoile Landaise (Balougrain) jumped at 1.60m level with Michel Robert.

His third dam, Olivetti Landaise, carries the blood of the Thoroughbred St Brendan xx. This mare line has produced numerous sport horses, including:

  • Kellandaise (Duc de la Cour) 1.60m

  • Ut Majeur de Brecey 1.60m

  • Pepito Landais (Grenat de Grez) 1.50m

  • Milor Landais (Timorrak des Isles) 1.60m

  • Espoir Landais, better known as Espoir Z (Quouglof Rouge) 1.60m

Performance

Happy Landais has consistently jumped well in the Belgian Stallion Competition and in international classes for young horses. Despite his age, he is still relatively inexperienced, but everything he has done so far has been executed in a very good and easy manner.

We are convinced that with a bit more experience over the coming years, he will quickly progress to the highest level of the sport. He possesses all the right qualities to make it to the top: blood, suppleness, scope (power), light-footedness, and a great attitude.
