FEI sticks to Olympic format with three riders per team

The FEI is sticking with the Olympic format where only three riders are part of the country team. The concept was used for the first time in Tokyo but immediately met with a lot of criticism. The new format would lose sight of horse welfare, among other things. However, many national federations do not simply accept the new format and hope that the fourth rider will return. The whole matter will be discussed at the FEI General Assembly in Antwerp on 14-17 November.
